Amazing location near the beach, restaurants, mini market next door. Grocery store within a block, yummy ice cream shop across the street, Starbucks around the corner, plus other coffee shops and clothing boutiques near by. Good public transportation available. Comfortable apartment in a quiet street!

My daughter and I wanted to cook and eat our meals at the apartment. When we arrived, we noticed the kitchen needed cleaning badly. Upon communicating with the person who greeted us about the condition of the kitchen, she volunteered to send a cleaning person. She actually cleaned up a bit the countertop and the sink herself. Later on, I was told no cleaning service would be coming. Instead, host said he would meet me at 9:00 pm, I could leave, and he would give me my money back. After traveling for over 17 hrs, I did not accept his offer and stayed. We didn’t have a place to go! Instead, I bought cleaning supplies and took care of the kitchen utensils we needed. There was a binder with very little info about the place. We were not shown how to open the door to the building when the doorman wasn’t available. The same happened with turning the keys in when departing. I said I would leave at noon, but my ride arrived earlier and we left at 11:30 instead. I didn’t see the WhatsApp message the host sent at 11:15 am until after I had already left since I do not get message notifications from WhatsApp. A message 24hrs prior to departure would have been appreciated. The doorman told me to leave the keys with him. He was very helpful. Also a binder containing all the rules regarding departure, appliances available, and what to do with the trash, etc, would have been helpful. I asked a neighbor I saw taking the trash out, and she informed the bin was by the street corner. I made sure all the trash was removed prior to leaving. The messages from the host were not polite and it’s not a question of a language barrier because I am bilingual. With improved maintenance (for instance, sink faucets), nicer towels, and thoroughly cleaning the kitchen, this apartment could be absolutely fabulous.
