Stunning 3 Bedroom Villa - Bellaluz La Manga Club

During my stay at Villa 8 Bellaluz, I experienced several issues that significantly affected both the safety and quality of the accommodation. Cleanliness & Preparation: Personal items from previous guests (underwear in drawers, shoes on top of the wardrobe) were left in the property. The bed sheets provided did not fit the beds properly, indicating poor preparation and inadequate standards. The kitchen lacked essential equipment, including a corkscrew and sufficient saucepans. Serious Safety Issue – Upstairs Terrace Doors: The terrace doors automatically lock when closed, posing a clear safety hazard. I became locked out on the terrace and could only regain entry because the front door had been left unlocked and a passer-by was able to assist. The company later confirmed this issue had been known for more than a week before my arrival, yet no warning was given. There was no signage or written information about this safety risk anywhere in the property. Notably, there was a sign on a fridge warning guests not to touch the owner’s wine collection — highlighting that signage was used for minor issues but not for a potentially dangerous one. Missing Information: No welcome information pack was available in the villa upon arrival. Although some smaller issues were later addressed (such as providing missing kitchen items), the major safety concern remains unresolved, and no updates have been given. Given the seriousness of the incident, the lack of communication about a known hazard, and the overall failure to meet basic standards expected for a property costing £460 per night, I believe compensation is justified. I have requested a refund of at least one night (£460).
