Canyon Rim Domes - A Luxury Glamping Experience!!

We stayed in dome 7. It is a beautiful little dome and feet comfortable. Pet friendly. Incredible view to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Owners were very accommodating and helpful.

It was great.

We loved the uniqueness of these accommodations and the location was perfect. While you are super close to town, it felt really secluded. The views were amazing. The hosts were extremely communicative and helpful with giving us precise directions so that we didn’t get lost.

If I had to make one complaint it would be, not having a stove to cook on. The grill was nice to have as an option and would have been perfect for a different time of year. However, standing in the snow cooking our meals on our jet boil was not the highlight of our trip.

Unique - so much better than a hotel room!! Beautiful location and the sunset was spectacular! Comfortable and complete with a mini kitchen, gas fire pit, and a much needed propane heater inside.

Le principe, vraiment sympa. Perdus au milieu de nul part, avec les biches, les lapins... des tentes très spacieuses aménagées avec goût et tout le confort nécessaire.

Malheureusement des tentes vieillissantes... Elles sont devenues opaques et les réparations à l'aide de scotch ne permettent pas d'observer les étoiles, c'est vraiment dommage.

It was nice and secluded. The view was beautiful and the stars at night were very clear. It was very close to town.

The windows were taped in some places obstructing the view a little. I believe the owner was working on a solution to fix the windows. It can get pretty cold in the tent. We definitely needed the heater.

The view was great. I did not get to see the stars, but only because it was overcast. I had a lovely hike in the morning. I saw mule deer cross my front yard, a coyote on my walk and an eagle in the morning. The bed was comfortable even though the night was chilly. The firepit in the front was great at night and in the early morning. I enjoyed the view while eating dinner and enjoying my morning coffee.

Do not let the initial drive into the Domes detour you. The owner is in the process of clearing more land so there is building materials strewn around. However, once I got to the dome it was great. There was trench in progress for work, but it was behind my Dome so not a hinderance. Once you get to your Dome expect Glamping.

The location is really beautiful and the sunset and moonrise we saw was exceptional! It was extremely windy on the day we arrived so we watched the moonrise from inside and it was really pretty! We saw shooting stars at night and tons of stars in the sky. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the sunrise and sitting on the rocks and being in solitude. We would come back, yet we hope the unit is cleaner, as far as the bedspread, blankets and chairs had some dirt/stain damage to them. When we arrived the plexiglass to the dome was scratched and taped up on numerous locations which effected the views during the day- the owner said he is in the process of getting the plexiglass fixed in unit 7. The shower was fantastic and stayed very warm for both of our showers. This was a good experience for our 1st Glamping experience & we will do this again for sure & we look forward to checking out other locations across the Southwest.

Fantastic Glamping experience. Everything was beautifully decorated and clean. It has a small kitchenette with a little coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Outside - sitting area around a propane fireplace and a gas grill. Beautiful mountain views and sunrise.

Limited plastic silverware and tableware allowing only simple meal preparation. Adding light to the upstairs sleeping area would be helpful.

Great experience staying at the domes, would come back again if I’m ever in the area! Clean and comfortable with good views.
