Clairville : Georgian Suite - Central Ross-on-Wye

Comfortable and nicely decorated holiday apartment within easy walking distance of Ross-on Wye town centre. Great location for exploring the Wye valley. Our host Syd was very welcoming and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and places to visit

Everything in the apartment was of extremely high quality, with a great deal of attention to detail. The host was very welcoming and quick to respond to any requests. Comfy bed, excellent shower, reliable high speed internet and 'Now' TV option. Very convenient location only a few minutes walk from the town centre.

The kitchen area was too small even to be able to rustle up a breakfast without running out of surface space (essentially a sink and draining board only). This could do with a bit of a re-think as there's plenty of room in the sitting area into which to expand. Some more info on shops and cafes would be helpful: we were relying on the local Spar until we suddenly chanced upon a Sainsburys and Aldi towards the edge of town. Slightly unsafe exterior lighting between the entrance and the car parking area: the way seemed well lit when approaching the house, but the lights shine straight in your face when leaving and it's hard to see the steps.

A very nice place to stay and Syd is a brilliant host. The property is very well situated for all the shops and sightseeing, it also has off street private parking. Syd has really gone to town with the decor of the room considering that it is a listed building, he also keeps a marvellous garden.
