Sea Salt Apartment Dunedin 3 Bedrooms & Sea Views

Very nicely furnished apartment, in great location. Excellent communication from the host.

A few things about this property didn't hit the mark. The apartment is connected to the hosts residence via internal doors. This should be made clear. I was very aware that my children might disturb the hosts. Even with an electric heater going in every room and the heat pump we struggled to get the apartment warm enough. The dining facilities are not adequate, unfortunately we assumed there would be cooking facilities and so brought food with us. Even making breakfast was a challenge in this very small hallway kitchenette. The bench top oven with 2 rings was very slow to cook on and really not safe at all, situated on a very narrow shelving unit which had to be guarded to prevent little hands reaching up. Four dining chairs and a dining table which could accomodate 2 chairs comfortably in a unit which sleeps 6. Unfenced "garden" area with very steep drop off, unfortunately not very child safe at all.

Had some view of the ocean

Was very small. Misleading in the pics and the description. Sleeps six but it doesn’t accommodate for that many people. Kitchen was a kitchenette (no real ‘stove/oven’) and was very pokey. It seemed like it was a 2 storey apartment but it was only the bottom floor. Very disappointed.

It is the lower part of another house, separated only by internal doors, it is not a standalone apartment. We could hear the baby and dog of the owners in the other part of the house morning and night.

The location in St Clair suited the children, being close to playground, beach and swimming pool. The apartment was spacious and our rooms were large enough and comfortable. We had plenty of room to park. Our host provided some breakfast provisions for us.

Cooking facilities were minimal and the only dining table was small. We made the children their meals but we didn't think a meal for more than two adults would have been feasible. However, we found take away options were available locally. We would have liked to have had swimming towels provided. (We bought "disposable" towels at the swimming pool)

The property was neat, clean and well styled. It was a relatively new property or renovation. The property had a nice location that was in walking distance to the beach. A nice set of biscuits and cafe items were provided.

The washer/dryer was a bit confusing and the dryer burned our clothes a bit, one bedroom did not have a working lock, we had to request toilet paper/wasn’t there initially, there was expired milk in the fridge, there was a maintenance team scheduled right before our check out time so there was a rush to leave.

Thanks for breakfast things-a nice surprise. We brought milk and cereal, so it would've been good to know it was supplied. Great heat pump as weather cool.

Decor very unusual-nothing matches! Light switches in very odd, hard to find places and mirror in one room way too high to use for a normal sized woman. Very narrow bedrooms, so have to inch past wall to bed. Only one bedside table, so no option about which side to sleep on. Shower temp hard to control and hot water takes a very long time to come through. Once hot you can't turn it down at all!
