North Shore Glamping Camping Laie, Oahu, Hawaii

I understand it’s camping and not a hotel, but I suppose I had higher expectations. Walked into a cockroach on the dresser because there was a hole in the tent. Messaged the owner who said they would look at it but did not get addressed during our 3 night stay. Very muddy because of the rain and lots of puddles/ground does not drain well (probably nicer when only sun), nothing the owner can do about that. Water tank also out of water for 2 out of the 3 nights that we were there.

I like that is was clean and cozy. At night the room was pitch black dark and quiet, except for a little bit of scurrying outside.

The road to the place was horrible. Due to the heavy rains, it was very muddy and the holes were so deep and filled with muddy waters that the cab driver said “please don’t call me to pick you up, you need someone with a 4 wheel truck to drive thru this”. It was difficult to walk to the restrooms without getting our shoes all muddied up.

Private and clean

There was a flood near the bathroom/shower area. So when we walked to it at night we were walking in muddy water.

What a great time we had in there! The tent we stayed was number 5; pretty much everything worked perfectly, with lots of room for our stuff and good facilities to welcome us warmly in there. Loved it!

This site lives up to the "glamping" promise. Lovely camp site, comfortable showers. The bed was really comfortable -- better than beds I've slept on in some hotels and AirBnBs! We were in tent 4, fairly spacious (there was even a dresser) and close to the bathrooms. The location is fantastic -- you can walk to a decent beach in 14 minutes, or to Sam's for a delicious loco moco. Walk for 30 minutes and you're at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Walk for 40 and you're at Pounder's Beach.

The WiFi didn't work super-well and not all campers followed the rules about quiet hours. The first night a group sat on the steps of their cabin talking very loudly and other campers had to ask them to be quiet. They quieted down right away, so this wasn't a big deal. The quiet hours weren't stressed in the instructions we got, so I'd suggest that the rules stress quiet hours more and tell campers whom to call if there's an issue.

This was a gorgeous glamping spot. The dome was such a cool experience, cosy and private feeling. The staff were very responsive and helpful when we needed to reconnect a power outlet. The location is out of the busy parts of Oahu, but still close enough to stores and other activities if you need. Definitely recommend this experience!

Nothing to complain about. A little muddy due to the rain, probably just needed a little mat to wipe our feet as we entered our dome tent.

Relaxing atmosphere, clean dome and showers. The view of sky at night was amazing! We caught the total lunar eclipse 🌖

Wish there was more of a cooking options. It is glamping and there was a microwave and charcoal bbq. A hot plate or way to cook eggs would be great addition.
