"Cute!"

We stayed in the large tent and it had plenty of room. Beds were super comfortable. The host gave us excellent directions.

No water in the morning for showers.

"Great location, simple but nice accomodations"

8.0

Location was great.

Our dome #4 had a door that could not close during our stay. We had to jimmy rig it shut overnight for our stay. The floor of the dome was pretty dirty upon our arrival, and I had to deal with an ant problem in the tent the first morning we were there (thankfully, a bug solution was available). It would be helpful to guests to know they should bring ice for coolers that will be available in the dome (in the future).

Relaxed in nature. Close to beaches. Close to towns.

Water pump relies on solar power. Shower and toilet are non functioning when the battery isn’t charged up.

"Best budget option and fantastic for getting immersed in the nature."

I can’t say enough about how great the property owner is! She worked so hard to make the property comfortable, and is constantly putting in upgrades. The tents are also pretty comfortable and clean, stocked with a few books, a board game, and a towel if you forgot your own.

The ONLY downside is the lack of air conditioning and electricity in the tents and bathrooms. There are small fans and solar power banks available but they can only be so helpful. The tents get very hot during the day and trap humidity, making it a bit difficult to escape the sun and heat comfortably. However, they were installing electricity while I was there so this may be updated soon!

"Pleasant, but short-lived because of my missed first night."

7.0

Breakfast (meals) were not part of the package. Location, near the main events that were the purpose of my visit to Laie, was especially appreciated. The inability to navigate to the glamping site at night after the evening's performance at the Polynesian Cultural Center caused me to miss my first scheduled night's stay. It would have been of better advantage to have navigated to the glamping site earlier during the day (even before the 4 PM check in time) well before my scheduled activities at the PCC; then location subsequently of the facilities would have been easier and quite possible, even at night. An unexpected advantage occurred in the morning hours, when several small wildlife passed next to the tent viewing window panels, undisturbed by my presence within the tent.

Improvement of the ventilation within the glamping tent, to more quickly dissipate the afternoon heat and humidity, would make great strides in the comfort of the facilities. Perhaps incorporation of a solar-operated ceiling fan, to evacuate some of the collected mugginess, could improve that condition.

"A relaxing, peaceful and regenerating stay in beautiful surroundings"

10.0

We had the absolute best stay here! We arrived at sunset to gorgeous light across the camping ground and were so pleasantly surprised by the campsite! The tent was spacious, clean (considering it’s on a farm!) and bug free. The double bed was super comfortable and it has lovely little touches like fake plants, drawers for your clothes and string lights for the evenings. We were so cosy at night! It rained a lot the second night but the tent was totally waterproof and its raised off the ground on a platform which is great. We also loved the view of the misty mountains behind rows of vibrant banana trees! So beautiful. The campsite is better than I expected too! It had WARM showers, restrooms, a microwave, cold and hot drinking water (you have to turn on the hot water at the back and wait for it to heat up which took me a minute to figure out!) and an extension cable which I charged my phone on in the morning, which really helped. It’s SO peaceful, we absolutely loved it! You just hear birds. Be warned though, the dawn chorus of nearby roosters and birds is pretty loud from 3:30am - 6ish so take earplugs! It’s lovely but you’ll want earplugs if you sleep lightly! We were in tent #1 and we had brought torches which was good as the short walk across the field to the restrooms is of course very dark during the night. Location is great, there are delicious food trucks a 6 min drive away and it’s a good place to drive from to go to the North Shore beaches. Snorkelling at Shark’s Cove was a highlight! So many fish and a huge turtle! Overall we had the best stay here and were really sad we didn’t book for longer! It’s so peaceful. We hope to come back again!
