Santamar by Tao Beach Condos with Pool & Walk to Ocean

Nice modern apt with sea view and good facilities inc a number of pools and gym.

The apt did not have right number of beds as per booking. Com confirmation so check listed apt is actually available but company did agree to small refund as compensation. To stay here you really need a car as there are no cafes or restaurants in walking distance really, but nice and quiet location still very close to Akumal and Tulum. On last night we did get an issue with flying ants in a bedroom but can’t really fault the apt for this it essentially a jungle around there.

the property was beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. Pool was close by and the landscaping was very nice and taken care of. Our only problem was the lack of hot water in the hall bath, it was great in the master.

Everything was perfect except the checkin.

The checkin process is horrible. Very long, about 10 spam messages.

We appreciated the interior of the condo, it looked professionally designed !! And it was comfortable. It felt like home. We loved how spacious it was with two bedrooms and my husband and I spread out and each had our own bathroom and bedroom to put our clothes in or take a nap :) There was a great view where you could see the ocean and hear it and watch the change of the sky colors from morning to evening. The location was excellent right near the white sand beach with great snorkeling . The first day we swam above a white sting ray which is pretty rare and a gray one, to the right of the point.

A small thing is hearing the security guards phones often because the patio is above the guard station.

We had a two bedroom two bath apartment in building B. It was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. We enjoyed the little balcony and small rooftop pool. The location was a short drive from several wonderful cenotes.

The property is located a short distance from a lovely sandy beach. The walk to the beach took about five minutes and involved climbing along a rocky trail and over some large boulders - so not suitable for people with small kids or any mobility issues. There are no services near the property so make sure you stock up before getting there. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to Tulum.

Unit was nicely decorated. Kitchen facilities were very good. Only need scissors, salt and pepper and some coffee supplies to start.

Isolated. Wifi and cell phone service sporadic. Key pad not functional.

The condo was tastefully decorated, complete accessories/amenities and very comfortable. The complete kitchen and in-condo laundry made the stay convenient. Very nice towels and linens. One of the best condos we have rented over the years. Property may look a little dated when you arrive, but it is extremely clean and kept. Staff, including security were always helpful, including calling a taxi for you.

A bit inconvenient to Akumal, an expensive taxi ride. The same property next door would not let us use the ocean pool despite our information starting we could. A bit of an arrogant staff. No big deal as our rooftop pools were very nice. A couple even had an unobstructed view of the ocean. Sharing so management might address the snobs that it's all the same property.
