The staff were very responsive and kind. The location is close to the university and many restaurants and cafés.

The room was not properly cleaned before my arrival. There was heart-shaped confetti and rests of breakfast cereals on the floor, the bed linens were not fresh, and the table was sticky. The furnishings were old, and the window blind did not cover the window properly. The window frames were worn and did not close completely, and the bathroom light could not be turned off. Outside, the street and entrance area were full of rubbish, and at night there were rats around. I understand that the bin strikes are not the property’s direct responsibility, but I was only informed about this at check-in, and it was clear the rubbish had been there for several days. The location could have potential, but unfortunately the lack of cleanliness and maintenance, both inside and outside, made the stay a bit disappointing.

Convenient for the Uni.

Room not as pictured on Booking. It’s a standard students room, within a student house sold as a hotel apartment. No sofa or coffee machine, (received a refund due to the lack of coffee machine) blinds instead of curtains so a lot more light gets through. Shower constantly dripping, they didn’t even install the toilet seat straight!
