The property is very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and most importantly, heaters for winter. Located on the historical street of Gojo Shinmachi-dori in Gojo City, Nara Prefecture, the property is well-preserved and updated with modern facilities for comfort yet retains the charm of history of the merchant house that it was previously. The property is also within walking distance to amenities like a supermarket, cafes, restaurants and most importantly, an Onsen. Proximity to the river makes morning walks fantastic along the river bank just to enjoy the sunrise. It’s one of the few property we have experienced in our various travels that have sharp knives in the kitchen that we can actually use and the utensils are clean with basic cooking seasoning provided, it was a big plus for us.

一棟貸し切りなので他のゲストに気を使うことなくゆっくりできた。 宿の周りの街並みも綺麗なので朝夕、ゆっくりと探索できた。 夏と秋に利用しましたが過ごしやすい街でした。

周りの道が一方通行が多いので慣れない人は少し戸惑うかもしれない。

Full function and host

The location is excellent on an historic street close to the river. Breakfast at a nearby cafe was delicious with a friendly hostess.

The Japanese style room is upstairs. There is a sink in the hall with cold water only, no mirror, poor lighting, and the toilet was unstable with a loose seat. The price was very high relative to other more comfortable accommodation we had in other nearby cities.

Our host Shogo was fantastic and really super helpful. It was my birthday the day we arrived and I asked him for some suggestions for a steak dinner. Not only did he pick a great spot but we came in and helped us order and stayed to cook the steak. He made everything perfect. I would highly recommend visiting him in his town of Gojo as it was a real small town experience.
