Chic, Stylish 1 Bedroom Maisonette - Close to Valletta

Walking distance to Valletta, with stores and restaurants close to the apartment. Owners are responsive. Kitchen well equipped.

On entering the apartment, we were greeted with the smell of dampness. We then discovered that in addition to the bathroom, the bedroom is also located in the basement, which was not trivial to us when we booked the apartment. We couldn't open the bathroom and bedroom windows as a result, to avoid rodents and insects from coming in. As a result, there was little daylight in the bedroom and it was also very stuffy. The building is quite old, with the plaster on the ceiling dropping on the pillows (the owner told me that it is normal in Malta). Furthermore, because of keeping the dehumidifier in the bedroom on all the time, it was noisy and making falling asleep very difficult. The bathroom is also very unpleasant (see attached photos). The shower holder was rusted and loosen, the tiles in the corners were covered with mold and with an army of ants running around!

Great location for exploring Valletta and close to the bus station to explore the rest of the island from.

There was a strong damp smell in the property and the bathroom was very wet due to lack of ventilation so towels did not dry. Unfortunately the kettle was not working.

Very comfortable apartment near to Valletta (8mins walk).
