Great little house for our stay

The neighborhood was across from a park where there were several homeless people, a little unsettling if I were staying there alone.

The location near downtown and access to the freeway was excellent. The convenience of having a home-like setting and accommodations was a big plus.

Very hot in home after working in the heat all day. We would arrive and the temperature would be set at 75 degrees and wouldn’t cool down so it was very uncomfortable trying to sleep at night. Could not get the hoist to answer the phone. Got locked out do to code issues 10:00 at night and hoist wouldn’t answer the phone

This property is an entire 2-bdm duplex in the heart of historical old El Paso. It was newly renovated and very nicely appointed, very clean, quiet and roomy. The beds were very comfy, and there were adequate towels and amenities. The kitchen was well equipped.

The master bedroom is a bit too warm; the A/C doesn't seem to work as well in the back of the house. [Advice to future tenants: The bedroom seems to get about 3 degrees cooler if you close the door.] There was no soap in the shower area. There was only one tiny, thin kitchen towel to dry the dishes. Our biggest complaint was the drains/drainage system, which is old and therefore needs some treatment. The sink had a terrible stink, and so did the washing machine. I tried cleaning both with vinegar, but had to go to a laundromat in the end because that odor remained and would permeate my clothing. I recommend liquid Drano applied at least once a week, and Affresh washing machine cleanser used 3-4 times to clean up that odor!

I like the homie feel, and the cleanliness and how safe I felt.
