Appartement bien isolé. Site très sécurisé

du linge de maison en double aurait été vraiment un plus

The flat is a exceptioally well located near the centre of Guadeloupe. It is a little dated, but it is comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated. The large double bed is exceptionally comfortable. From the kitchen, there is a superb outlook to the sea, across the well maintained common gardens of the residences. The path down through the gardens leads to a small cove with nice little beach, which can be used by people staying in the residences - but there are stones under the water, so care is necessary. Le Gosier's much larger and more attractive beach is just a short walk away. The Casa Datcha cafe-bar there was particular favourite. There's also an attractive beach out on the island, with a regular ferry ride from Le Gosier costing €6. The hosts, Beatrice and Bruno, are delightful and very helpful. We thoroughly recommend their accommodation and would be very happy to stay there again ourselves.

Parts of the environment of the residences are a little dilapidated - particulary the surface of the hotel car park through which it is necessary to drice to reach the car park of the residences.

Communication with the hosts was excellent. They were complete with instructions for arrival and entry. We we're able to meet and they made wonderful suggestions for activities and local events. They were very upfront and helpful about city maintenance on the water system of the island and provided a link i could follow for the schedule. Beach access is easy but you must walk through the hotel beach cafe to get there. There is no access to the hotel swimming pool. Walking distance to town for restaurants, bakery, shopping, is just a few minutes (up/down some steep ways) Parking was easy. Be confident with driving up/down steep hills. Not just here but all over the island. Although the exterior of the building is showing its age, the apartment was super clean, completely appointed with anything one might need. The grounds are also well maintained and I had a view of the sea and little Gosier island from the kitchen table. There is also a washing machine in the apartment. The position in front of the kitchen sink makes it a little awkward but it wasn't an issue. It's a fine apartment for 1 or 2 people. Bathroom was well lit and had a good shower.

The noise from other apartments. Chairs and tables being shoved around, people dropping hard objects, etc. I'm sensitive to that and it probably won't bother most people. Chickens are an island thing but please don't feed them, at least not close to the building.
