It was perfect for a hen party - enough space for a group of 12 to sleep comfortably. The rooms were chic, the hot tub was great, the kitchen and living room were a good size!

An extra bathroom would be the icing on the cake. Even an outdoor shower area to use post hot tub, would be super.

Perfect weekend away celebrating my 30th birthday with my nearest and dearest. The host were really friendly and helpful, always there to ask any questions we had as they were just next door. The rooms had everything we needed, the hottub was all set up ready when we arrived which was nice, they organised transport for us in and out of York city centre, and the surrounding areas were scenic and beautiful. House was lovely, clean and modern. Felt really safe and at home. Plenty of parking onsite. We had a fab time and will definitely be coming back!

No negatives!

Great house, really well presented in a beautiful rural location. Spacious rooms and comfy beds with good amenities. Simon was really helpful on arrival, showing us everything we needed to know and was on hand to assist with whatever we needed. He even offered to drop us into York centre if we needed a lift.

Some coat hooks in the utility room or hall way would have been useful. The hot tub was not turned up high on arrival so when we went in it that evening it wasn’t really warm enough, but we did enjoy it the following morning.

"We recently stayed at barn near York and had a wonderful experience. The barn was beautifully converted and exuded charm and character. The location was perfect for exploring the Yorkshire countryside and getting away from it all. The barn was cozy and well-appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi,the views,the rooms ,hosts were friendly and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway near York. It was the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, and we can't wait to go back.

Only problem was that there was no WiFi

The property had everything we needed, the kitchen was well stocked. 2 kettles 2 air fryers etc. the views were fantastic and the hot tub was an added bonus.

The property was more than acceptable. The site itself is a working progress with other places being built to accommodate more guests but this didn’t affect our stay.

The house was lovely, had everything we needed!

The only issue we had was finding the property and getting in touch with the owners while we were looking for the property. The address that is given on the booking website is not the correct address. But once we did get in touch they were extremely friendly and helpful!
