"Decent"

9.0

Very spacious, authentic feeling. Great location for the medina. Lovely atmospheric lighting. Had a handy shop and decent little cafe at the end of the alley. We enjoyed the terrace at the top of the Riad with comfy seating. We were able to leave bags for 90 mins after check out which was helpful.

Was quite noisy ( from the square) at night, beds were hard, not enough bedding ( we were cold and had to keep heaters on at night). Found the comms with the owner quite terse. ( fairly direct messages about buying your own loo roll and toiletries-Would have appreciated basics like soap and a couple of bottles of water on arrival ). Self catering is pretty impossible due to lack of supermarkets. You can buy snacks and water ( expensive!) in the kiosks but no supermarkets to be found. Also to be aware of the whole medina is very polluted with poor air quality from mopeds in the narrow alleys. When we arrived the Riad smelt strongly of chlorine from the pool and it was pretty choking all in all.

Cleanliness, quiet, everything you needed was there.

Not easy to find, the instructions to find the Riad were not clear and did not resemble our journey to find it and google also was not accurate enough to find it.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The accommodation is very spacious and the little pool was welcome to rest out after a busy day of walking. There are plenty of bathrooms and the Riad was cleaned every day. It's a great location near the main square but far enough away to be quiet.

We thought there would be a washing machine but couldn't find one in the property. A few basics in the kitchen e.g salt pepper and cooking oil would be great.

"Great location but not great comfort"

7.0

I chose it because it was a traditional riad with a good location. Its very close to the square and it’s a spacious property.

I felt that the common spaces (except for the 3rd floor outdoor patio) were pretty much unusable: the ‘lounge’ is basically a mattress in a dark alcove off the kitchen. Similarly, the dining area means sitting a few inches off the floor on low platform around the table. There’s nowhere to sit in the courtyard pool area. The roof terrace is fine, but you have to want to climb 4 flights of stairs to get there so if you want drinks or snacks, you better, make sure you bring them all up from the downstairs kitchen. I also didn’t like the fact that the towels weren’t washed in six days - especially the hand towels in the toilets. The housekeeper comes every day and sits for 5 hours in a tiny cupboard-like room- we were out most of the time, but if we hadn’t been, I would’ve found that quite awkward. It just didn’t seem very pleasant for her. We tried to tell her it wasn’t necessary, but that just made her feel uncomfortable I think :(
