Arrived at the house and entry from the main door was fine. Went to check out the facilities. Bedroom door was very loose on the hinges, plywood and code lock difficult to open. The bedroom door was not very robust and didn't make me feel safe as a lone single occupant. One good push and it would be open, especially not knowing the calibre of the other residents for the evening Toilet was clean but yet again the lock was very poor and not robust.

Although the property was very clean I just didn't feel safe there staying on my own and opted to book somewhere else for the night. Contacted the manager who acknowledged locks and doors weren't great and offered to change room but not refund.

The price and the facilities were great

The decor is date and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, however it was excellent and what I would expect, and some, for the price.

I liked everything about the property, is clean , is fully equipped, it had everything that we need , Monica is always making sure everything is taken care of and that the house is always clean and smelling lovely It will be a pleasure to stay here again in the future 🩷

Always enjoy staying at a Shirley House. A room in a house with shared shower rooms and kitchen. It's good for me as I usually leave very early in the morning. It's close to the cruise terminals and city centre. Always good communication with Monica the owner. Can recommend 👌
