SLEEP 'N' RIDE Massa Marittima

What a fabulous hotel. This is not as the name of the hotel perhaps implies, just simply a hotel suitable only for cyclists. That said, we were in Massa Marritma for the Grinduro cycling event! From the welcome and intro to the facilities by Francesco we were immediately impressed by how much attention was given to the safety of the bike store and facilities centred on bike care and maintenance. The Hotel is also great. Tastefully decorated with the occasional nod to anything cycling. Very comfortable rooms. Comfortable bed and super bathroom/shower. Room service was also good. There was a laundry service for less than 10 euros. Washing done in a day. The perfectly ironed clothes and fragrance was just gorgeous! What a treat. There is a lovely friendly family run Tratoria next door to the hotel which provide home cooked selection of traditional dishes. Thoroughly recommend!

The continental breakfast was a bit basic. I do like a good hot cup of tea. The flasks were not up to the job of keeping the water hot. The staff ( Irena and Flora in particular) were always helpful and happy to be asked however.

Bardzo ubogie śniadanie. Brak warzyw, letnia woda w termosie, nie mogłem zaparzyć herbaty.

Gorgeous industrial chic brand new & modem facility exceptionally well appointed, very spacious and comfortable. Massive deck, beautiful communal areas for relaxing inside, out and on rooftop with self-serve beverage facilities. Breakfast was varied and extensive, in house but sharing a kitchen with the trattoria next door I think. Would be a perfect base for group rides to explore beautiful Massa Marittima and the countryside and coast. Restaurants and bustling nightlife in Massa, a few minutes away are terrific.

Cannot be improved upon. It’s not in the historic Centre, but access and comfort are the better for it.
