The Lily at St James

Chic little apartment with a fabulous view of the sea. Such a comfortable bed and hearing the ocean from our bedroom was just incredible. It feels like a little oasis and is the perfect base from which to explore the charming surrounds - there are many restaurants and really good coffee shops within walking distance. Staff were super helpful with getting suitcases up the steep climb to the room. Would definitely return here again.

A steep climb to the apartment, but it comes with the territory in this hillside sea-facing area, so unless you struggle with lots of steps, it's a negligible detail.

Apart from the bed, the flat is sort of put together fairly roughly, no real art or nice touches, you have to be aware of making noise for guests below and there are a SERIOUS amount of stairs to go up and down.

Despite the stairs being something of an issue the apartment was comfy and had a magnificent view across False Bay. We had trouble finding the place as it is advertised as being in St James but is actually in Muizenberg. Donald, the Caretaker was a delight and very helpful.

Stairs are an issue if you have an ambulatory or cardiovascular issue
