Balai Ko Beach & Cottages

Amazing! We took a van from El Nido Beach to Bucana. From there you walk across a suspension foot bridge. Walk straight, right at the small church and left at the beach road. It’s closer than it seems. The family owned and run space is welcoming from the start. Our hut was very clean with a private bathroom/shower and cozy front balcony perfect for morning coffee or tea. The restaurant/bar has amazing local fresh food. Recommend the tapsilog (traditional Filipino) for breakfast. The beach is right there for beautiful walks and star gazing. The village of Bucaca is easy to access for fresh grilled fish and basic necessities. Everyone is very kind and helpful and be ready for a lot of high fives from the kids. Overall I highly recommend staying here!

Very chilled, away from busy El Nido, the family that runs the business was very nice and really helpful with everything that I needed and arranging private tricycle. I spend NY eve with them and it was very nice. Food is good too and very nice drinks at the bar.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this apartment. The location was absolutely amazing in front of the beach and the best part was the hospitality – the people were incredibly welcoming and helpful.

To reach the property we had to cross a hanging old wooden bridge and walk 10 mins with the luggages.

Exceptional stay! The location was perfect, and the ambience was creating a truly relaxing experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for a fantastic getaway!

Best place we could've chosen! Monica and her family were so kind and thoughful all the time! Lovely family business on a lovely beach on an incredible bay. We are really thankful for the days we spent with them and will always remember them. Hugs and kisses to everybody, from Inês and Jorge!!
