The Old Post Office Double Room (town centre)

The Old Post Office suited my needs perfectly. (I was there to play golf) The location is central to everything Carnoustie. Checking Stuart’s humble abode’s availability will be my first choice on Booking.com whenever I am back in the town to either play golf or visiting friends.

Nothing! It’s just perfect.

There was nothing we didn't like about our 4 night stay in this beautiful apartment, the bathroom and kitchen were exceptional, our bedroom had lots of storage and Sky Glass television, the bed was very comfortable, and warm. If we ever return to the area we will not hesitate to book this little gem.

Only slight negative sharing bathroom with host but a very minor issue and overall everything was great.

Very nice modern flat in a very nice location, the host was friendly, would talk to you and would try to help if there was a problem. My bedroom was a nice size with a decent sized wardrobe and a tall window with a cosy view, my bed was really comfortable and i had no issues getting to sleep, there was no unwanted noise at night and it was quite peaceful, i had a surround sound system linked to the tv and access to sky TV which was great, Felt like i was at home, the bathroom was very clean and modern & there was no issues with any of the facilities. The kitchen is ideal as it is nice and spacious and has a view of the village shops, access to coffee machine, dishwasher and top shelf of a fridge, if your looking for a peaceful stay in a great seaside location in scotland with stunning beaches and golf courses less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel then I would highly recommend.

No lock on bedroom door and no extra HDMI ports available on TV, however the host is looking to resolve these problems in the future. The Seats and table outside of the flat were a little bit weathered but still usable.

Very central, well equipped with dishwasher and coffee machine. We had four nights at The Old Post Office and slept well each night - quiet location. Our host was very accommodating and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. Excellent instructions for entry. Very happy to recommend.

Normally there was no breakfast, but the owner helped very well to offer us a breakfast. Good wifi connection. The host Stuart was very helpful in making us comfortable. We had good appointments and he gave good advise about where to eat and where to go. I would really go here again. A good place for a good price.

Wasn’t just a room it was the creation of a new friendship. Stuart and his dog pal Ollie were awesome. Got a lot of firsthand Scottish history, whiskey sampling, and Ollie helped ease the fact we left our dog in the states. All around a great experience and so grateful to meet our new Scottish friends Stuart and Ollie !! Highly recommend !!

The host was friendly and kind, accomodations were adequate.

The website clearly stated that there were two beds, but that was incorrect -- there is only one bed (queen size). The host got us a camping mat and extra sheets for one of us to sleep on the floor. It was also not clear from the ad that this is a room inside the home, with all other spaces shared. Just not quite what we were expecting, but the host was friendly and willing to work with us.

Stuart the host was brilliant

Stuart couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Full run if the house, caught up on our washing, cooked dinner in the kitchen. He treated it like wexwere the owners and he was a visitor.

Nothing to dislike. The town is a bit of a golfer haven but a great stopover for us.
