The limited payment options. The 5% extra charge for Paypal payment. If you want to pay in cash you have to pay the exact number and there is no change BUT they don't allow you to pay in coins! The aggressive and direct request on WhatsApp if you really want to confirm the booking or not (even though the booking is confirmed on booking). There was no hot water in the shower despite turning on the hot water on the boiler. The apartment was not clean.

Location

This property is not in an ideal location for International Tourists and the pool is not as it appears. I was with my daughter and we did not feel safe. There are no restaurants or grocery stores in walking distance. There were a few small variety style stores but most of them were limited in selection or bared up before 5:00 pm. We walked around the block had been "cat called" several times and felt very unsafe. The apartment area is nice but everything around it is concrete, graffiti, or bared up. We took an uber to the San Miguel mall as that was recommended to us by our host. In speaking to a waiter there he told us that we were very much out of place there and he didn't see tourists there very often. It was to be our last full day in Peru after hiking etc so our plan was to spend it on the roof top pool and at the beach. You have to book the pool and you get a 2 hour booking whenever it is available. You cannot come and go which is what we were looking for and nowhere in the description of the property did it state that. The beach was also not an option. The apartment door was taped up, it looked like the lock had been kicked in. Although it is on the twelve floor the windows are very thin and not well installed so you hear everything all night sirens dogs etc. We called Booking.com regarding the issues and how we felt, however, they were not at all helpful. We ended up leaving early in the morning and finding a place in Miraflores on our own for our last day. Because it was a last minute booking we paid heavily for it but it was worth getting out of this area. On our way to Miraflores I rolled my window down and our uber driver told me that it wasn't safe and to roll it back up.
