GBLocation was perfect for our plans and having direct access to the loch and the scenery was beautiful. The area was so peaceful with no traffic noise nearby. The kitchen has everything you need to make it easy for your stay, you only have to bring your own food. And having a dishwasher was a bonus for us on holiday! Anne provided extensive information with nearby walking trails and activities which we will definitely do when we hopefully return in the summer.
You have to park outside of the entrance gate as there is an ongoing fued with the house on the grounds, however you can briefly park next to the woodcutting shed to unload your belongings for your stay. Unfortunately we didn’t have any heating or hot water until late on the last night of our stay, I believe we were the first visitors this season so it literally took over 48 hours for the lodge to heat up. Anne was amazing though and arranged for one of the locals to come and see to the boiler as soon as she could and also provided lodge 2 for us to have a warm shower. If we had the heating and hot water I would have happily gave this accommodation 10/10. All in all, was a great stay and we will definitely return. Thank you Anne x
GBBreathtakingly beautiful location. Lodge looks out onto a small loch, is peaceful and out of the way yet within walking distance of Drumbeg stores and the hotel.
The stairs to the bedroom mezzanine are awkward/tight and a bit slippery.
NLSuper locatie. Heerlijk rustig met vlonder aan idyllisch meer. Ook fijn voor onze hond.
GBThe location was stunning. We were in Lodge 1 which had the better views over the nearby Loch and I walked up to the Cairn each day with our dog for even more stunning views.
The owner needs to come to some sort of resolution with the neighbour who approached us about the parking situation. He says he has a court judgment that says guests are not allowed to park where we were advised to park. I refused to get into the detail of it with him but we were the first guests since he got this judgment and I expect the situation will escalate as the season progresses.
GBThe location is beautiful
A lot of the electrical equipment didn’t work, I lost all my fresh food from the fridge. The fuses seemed fine, tried various different sockets. The kitchen window was jammed open, and it smelt of oil in there. The front door wasn’t secure. There are problems with parking that are on going via a civil dispute and the signs for where you park are very conflicting. The “welcoming information” that the owner sends is very overwhelming, there are pages of it and it is grammatically incorrect with chucks of text of code from a website included. It came across very unprofessional.

GBBright and welcoming
Signs outside the property threatening parking fines but I know this is outwith Anne’s control
