Gold Dust Delight - Cozy Cottage In The Woods

Super quiet and surrounded by woods. The house is comfortable. This was our second time staying here.

Inside is a bit dark in the day.

The cabin was cute and exactly as pictured. Overall clean and very welcoming. The host left little treats in the kitchen which were much appreciated. We loved having a full kitchen, hot tub, and outside chairs, all of which we used. We especially appreciated the actual coffee pot, since we brought our own fresh-ground coffee beans. A cold front moved through and the heat worked great in the house (both HVAC and water). There were plenty of towels and linens for our stay. The host checked in during the stay to see if we needed anything.

The water pressure could have been stronger, but perhaps that's typical of the area. Although everything was clean overall, two issues to note if you're scent-sensitive: 1) the towels and linens were washed in a strongly scented detergent (we would love if more hosts switched to unscented), and 2) we're huge animal lovers and overall didn't smell dogs in the house from prior stays; however the couch was unusable for us because it strongly smelled like dog when you sat on it (please consider an upholstery cleaning). And, while we loved using the hot tub, there was a ring of crust along the water's edge, suggesting it's also due for a deeper cleaning.

Loved this cute cozy cottage. Very peaceful and great location! Not far from the town square that is absolutely beautiful at Christmas time!
