Parking is tight and place was difficult to find

Communication was good at first, until it wasn’t …

Early on in the booking process, host was responsive. I inquired about early check in and was told there would be a fee, so I declined. I was sent a link to a contract to sign, which I completed. I was told I’d receive the lock box code at 3pm the day of check in. Around 1:15pm, on the day of check in, I was sent a text from an unknown number asking me to complete the check in process, including uploading a pic of my drivers license. I did as instructed, and received confirmation that my 4pm check in time had been accepted, but still did not receive a code. I started calling and messaging through Booking.com around 3:45 pm. After multiple attempts with no response, I contacted Booking.com for help. Booking attempted to reach the owner with no success. Booking instructed me to wait 45 minutes for a response. By 5:40 pm, neither Booking nor I had heard anything. At that point Booking instructed me to find an accommodation elsewhere. Thankfully, I was able to secure another place last minute. But the next day, this property started sending “bot like” messages about “hope check in went well”. I called Booking and asked what was going on. Booking cancelled the reservation once and for all (not sure why that wasn’t done the previous day). As soon as Booking cancelled, the unknown number started texting me asking me to confirm that I’d checked out. I decided to respond, and told them I never check in because they never sent the code. The unknown number texted back and claimed they’d sent it in Booking.com messages at 2:54pm. I screenshotted the Booking message chain from 1:15 on showing it was just messages from me to them asking for check in information. The unknown number went silent again, and I was never given any explanation what happened. The whole situation was bizarre and unsettling. I’ve never had something like that happen before. It made for an incredibly stressful day.

The location was great—very convenient and accessible. The unit itself was very pleasant, and had enough space for a comfortable stay. Facilities were great, and the staff was helpful and responsive.

Great location, was able to walk anywhere we needed to go. Extra bonus, it is near the resturant The Bear was inspired by. Place was cozy and had everything we needed; coffee, soap, towels, etc.

Parking can be hard to find if you bring more than 1 car.
