Hawaii Magic Skies B&B Farmstay

Amazing place run by lovely people. Owners have poured their heart and soul into this property. So much attention to detail. So spacious; loved all the timber and the handcrafting and decorating, the koi fishpond under the entry floor; each room has a different theme. Super comfy bed, and huge bathroom. Massive kitchen and loungeroom on each floor, with everything you need in a kitchen. They even have some snorkel gear you can borrow, which we did. Stunning views from the lanai and lounge area, and it's an easy drive from the town. I highly recommend this place and I would come back again. It really is 10/10.

I couldn't find anything to fault! They even had some black face washers marked "makeup" so you don't need to worry about staining face washers! Amazing! The only thing I would add because it's just something I like, is to have an iron and ironing board in the room (there was a great storage cupboard in the bathroom that had plenty of room for that). But I love that there was plenty of hanging space and several chests of drawers, way more storage than I have at home!!

Kevin and Sue were very friendly. For most of stay, we were the only people at the place. Great, laid back feeling.

Beautiful view with a relaxing breeze!

Beautifully appointed rooms, large common rooms, large complete kitchen, decks overlooking the ocean. Quiet, comfortable.. Decks, room

No breakfast. But coffee pots, stove, fridge. Thought that breakfast should have been included.

House was beautiful with an awesome view of the surrounding farm and ocean. Expansive lanai for a very peaceful experience. Loved sitting out here in the mornings and evenings. Wish we could have stayed longer. Hot tub was nice after a long day at Volcanoes. Good breakfast options if you choose that.

It is a tropical lodge with sweeping coastal views, birds and farm animals, tropical hardwoods with rich appointments and tasteful decorations. They provided beach and snorkel gear, all kitchen supplies, use of binoculars and telescope, pool table and game room. The hosts gave great advice, prepared an informative binder and extra treats! Their property is very safe and secure. You will share a floor with two other guest rooms and share kitchen and living room, but you have a private bathroom and the lodge guests were friendly and we never felt crowded. Minutes from Hilo, and attractions within a half-hour drive will keep you entertained for days.

Magic Skies was an exceptional experience. The building was absolutely beautiful, clean, comfortable, and the views from the lenai were stunning! Our only concern before booking were potential smells from the farm animals, but we stayed their 10 nights and didn't smell anything. In fact, the animals were fun to watch every morning while we sipped coffee during the exceptional morning sunrise over Hilo. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

*. Continuous loud construction going on from early morning to evening. Should not be a problem if you are out most of the day, but if you are looking for a quiet place to read or just want to relax, this is place is NOT it. Drilling, hammering, sanding and other construction noise going on all day. Add leaf blowers, weed wackers and rock music from radios to mix and you will find no peace here. I would guess this has been ongoing for the four years the B&. B has been restoring the property. *. Two dogs, one a chow mix and the other maybe a blue healer mix will bark at you constantly. I walked into the backyard to look for my wife’s phone and was almost attacked - the light from my phone into their eyes saved me.
