La Mar de Venus - Luxury Views in Puerto Deportivo

The location

We were so disappointed with this apartment that we found alternative accommodation and moved out after 2 nights. It needs some serious renovation. There were a lot of problems... The bathroom tiles had been painted over, but had very badly peeled, therefore unhygienic and unsightly; The toilet was badly broken in several places; The shower hose was damaged making it difficult to use; There was a metal shelf unit in the kitchen which had very rusty shelves. These stored crockery, glasses & kitchen items including kitchen roll so this is extremely unhygienic and something we weren't prepared to put up with; The water heater had an obvious temporary fix which was very concerning. The control panel underneath was sellotaped on with a gap, inside which were mains electricity cables. An electrician would certainly have condemned that. We then had no hot water on the second morning which we reported. His message said "We repaired it just before your reservation, but it definitely needs replacing". He should have replaced this before our stay, or if not possible, arranged to come at the beginning of our stay, instead of leaving it with the hope it wouldn't break down again. He came to fix it after a few hours, meaning we couldn't shower or wash that morning, and that was the final straw for us. We would not live with things like rusty kitchen shelves at home, so certainly weren't prepared to live with it on holiday, being paying guests. We, as most people, rely heavily on reviews so I have no hesitation in leaving this review for other people's information. We are extremely well travelled, being top tier Booking.com customers and have never staying in an apartment with issues like this. Its a shame as it was very well located and equipped (strangely) but the owner should take responsibility and address the issues and renovate, before taking any more bookings.

Las fotos no se ajustan a la realidad. Es un apartamento antiguo con toques y decoración moderna. La parte de la cocina no tiene espacio para nada. Mucha luz para dormir, los estores no funcionaban bien.

De locatie ligt direct aan de boulevard en het strand.

Het appartement ligt op de 9e verdieping. De complex heeft drie liften, waarvan er 1 buiten gebruik was, en 1 werd verbouwd. Dat zou tot eind oktober duren. Het betekent dat er 1 lift beschikbaar was, voor maximaal 4 personen. Veel en veel te weinig. We moesten soms 20!! minuten wachten op de lift. Er zijn ook eigenaar/bewoners in het complex. Die staan niet toe dat er mensen bij hun in de lift komen. Je wordt gewoon de toegang ontzegd. We hebben dat zelf meegemaakt, en alle andere vakantiegangers vertellen erover. Dat is een regelrechte schande. Toen het ons overkwam, en ik aangaf dat ik al 15 minuten stond te wachten, zei de oudere dame dat dat mijn probleem was. Tja. Asociaal gedrag dus. Er konden nog twee mensen mee. De lift stopt dus ook op elke verdieping, zowel bij het omhoog als naar beneden gaan. Veel onnodige stops dus, als er geen mensen worden toegelaten. Dat moet echt aangepast.

Walking distance to the town and the beach. Very practical a little dated but has everything you need . Good value for the ocean view from the balcony .
