"Budget basic apartment - needs improvement"

Fantastic location - two minutes walk from Bushey station with easy access to London and Watford. One off road parking space which is very useful in this area. Apartment is accessed via a narrow staircase up to first floor, and is actually a maisonette. Downstairs is a small living/dining area - the main bathroom with shower and bath is only accessed through this kitchen/living area (you have to walk through the kitchen and lounge in your towel, not very private) plus there is a double room and twin room and separate toilet. Bedrooms good sized. Upstairs in the attic is a single room with ensuite shower and loo / very private but only for one person. Overall a spacious apartment with balcony. Nearby is a pub, bakery and coffee shop. Fans provided.

We didn’t like a lot about this property and would not stay there again. Our sleep was impacted by the lack of blinds or window dressings in the bedrooms - it was sunny and light in the rooms from 4.30am! There is no blind in the bathroom which faces the street - it is not private! Please install blinds or curtains as a basic essential item. Apartment sleeps five people but there isn’t furniture in the living area for five people (or on the balcony) plus the kitchen is poorly equipped. Cleanliness is poor - lots of cobwebs etc. hardly any coat hangers provided and tiny towels. No locks on any bathroom or bedroom doors. Only one tiny lock on the balcony door. Even the kitchen tap has been installed backwards. Overall the apartment feels like a very basic student flat. It’s a shame because the area is fantastic and the apartment is a good size so with some renovation this could be an outstanding place. The information pack provided forbade us from taking any photos to share on here and now I know why. Wouldn’t stay here again.

"Lovely stay and was easy to access public transportation"

The property was clean and tidy. It was close to Bushy station which actually made our traveling plans so easy. The property is located in a calm and quiet area which made the stay exceptional. Even the neighbors were so friendly and there’s a bar and a local bakery near the property. The stay was very good and we had a nice time there. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We were only given two toilet papers for the main bathroom and one for the upper bathroom. We ran out of toilet papers on the second day. Main bathroom shower had an issue with temperature adjustments which made washing up really difficult.

The heating worked well. The apartment was large enough for our needs. Shops and food takeaways were within a short walking distance.

Location was very busy and noisy, especially during the morning of bins collection. The couch was incredibly uncomfortable. No locks on any of the bathroom doors and no window covering in the main bathroom, i had to resort to a make shift cover for privacy. The apartment was not very clean, in particular the upstairs toilet basin, the radiator was not properly attached to the wall in the same bathroom. The patio door leading to the outdoor balcony was locked using a small bolt, key didn’t work, it did not feel secure at all. Kitchen drawer front was not attached. A cup had a huge chip and crack, anyone could have easily cut their lip. Pretty run down in all areas. A lot to be improved upon.

"Quite satisfactory for our needs."

Location and layout were perfect for our needs. Cost was consistent with what is expected for similar properties in the Watford/Bushey area.

1.The window coverings in the bedrooms, while stylish, did not block early morning ( ie summer time 4:30 AM) sunlight. 2. Also ---- parking for the property along crowded Villiers Rd. is inadequate, especially since it is residents-only for much of the day with there being nothing in the unit such as a parking permit to emplace in the occupant's vehicle. 3. And the main bathroom shower's hot water control was incomprehensible.
