Hei-d-Away

Geboekt voor een weekendje Hoge Veluwe. We werden enthousiast onthaald door gastvrouw Bianca die ons alles rustig uitlegde. Alles was smetteloos en smaakvol ingericht en ondanks dat het direct tegen het woonhuis van de eigenaren ligt, voelde het geheel privé. Het apartment is perfect gelegen, met allerlei leuke restaurantjes en een Spar supermarkt binnen een paar minuten lopen. Bovendien ligt het direct naast een kleine bakker en de fietsenverhuur. Een slagerij is 300m verderop te.vinden. Met een kwartiertje lopen sta je voor de entree van Nationaal Park de Hoge Veluwe. Wat ons betreft zeker een aanrader als uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de Hoge Veluwe.

Location is perfect! Close to everything we needed. The hosts are super friendly and the place was super clean.

Lovely place - very clean and every last detail taken care of. Bianca was so kind and let us use her washer and clothes racks, saving us time and effort halfway through our NL trip. Several restaurants and a market were only a few steps away. We loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer!

The bed was a bit too firm but we slept well anyway since we had walked 8 miles that day. Would have liked a top sheet instead of a thick blanket since the weather was warm during our stay.

Our hosts were friendly and the location was fantastic! It was so nice being able to spread out and be comfortable in this spacious apartment. We only stayed one night, but if we'd used this as our "base location" for the trip, I can tell you that the kitchen was well stocked with anything needed to prepare and enjoy meals there. Bianca was super communicative--offering very specific answers to my questions about the area--things to see, places to eat, etc. (The De Waldroorn did not disappoint and offered a nice selection of food and drink!)

Wonderful place to stay in Otterlo. The location was perfect for visiting the national park and the Kroller-Muller museum. Bianca and her husband were wonderful hosts. They even drove me feom and to the train station in Ede. Their apartment is lovely and extremely clean. It has a great back deck that is a perfect spot for coffee in the morning and some relaxing time in the afternoon.

This property is extraordinary. You’ll have your own private spacious 2nd floor apartment, thoughtfully laid out with three separate areas — bathroom, kitchen/dining and the bedroom suite. Right off the bedroom is a large deck perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set over the Otterlo countryside. The aesthetics of the apartment’s design look straight out of a magazine. There is a narrow spiral staircase to navigate. The Spar grocery store is across the street and around the corner and offers up anything you need. A bakery is next door just steps away. There are several restaurants within walking distance and an adorable “farm” ice cream stand across the road. Two different bicycle rental shops give you no excuse not to explore this area on two wheels. In other words, the location is perfect. Bianca and Carel were excellent hosts and Bianca always got back immediately with answers to questions. We absolutely loved our stay here!
