Makotel Hostel Ipoh

Very spacious, many showers, good location & super friendly staff.

The hotel is only 10 minutes walking from the train station. The old town, the heritage sites and most things of interest in Ipoh are all easy walking distance. The dorms were clean including the bunks and floors. The bunk had a firm mattress, a medium thick duvet, plenty of sockets and USB ports. Each bed came with a locker. It was only large enough to fit a small trolley case. The hostel provided a key, so no need for a padlock. The common area also had lots of tables and chairs, plus a few sofas. There are separate male and female shared bathroom/toilets. There were plenty of toilets and showers. I think 6 combined shower/toilets and a permanent smell and 3 separate toilets. Overall, I had a good stay. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The staff do their best, but the number of rooms and size was too much for the 2 staff members.

These were minor points considering the price: A lot of noise from the main road and mosque during the day, but at night it was fine. The bunks had metal frame bunks, which shook if a bunkmate moved around. The floors of the common area needs to be mopped more often. The shower rooms were okay, just needed a new layer of paint.

Hostel v super lokalitě, silná wifi, milá recepce. Potřebovala jsem vypravit a vzhledem k tomu, že jsem tam byla jednu noc bylo to docela narychlo. Vše zařídili tak, že jsem ještě ten den dostala svoje oblečení. 😊

Při Ramadanu večerní modlitba trvala asi 2,5 hodiny, ale to není vina hostelu.

Haurien de prohibir el tenir el movil en so en l’habitació, erem 4 a l’habitació i un senyor es va pasar la gran majoria del temps amb el movil a tot volum mirant tik tok, bastant desagradable coincidir amb gent com aquesta
