be careful to read the descriptions. Check out is 10am while check in is 4pm. I didn’t read it beforehand and would have needed to stay until 12 noon, or at least leave my luggage there. I asked for permission to stay until 12 with an offer to clean up myself so they wouldn’t need to rush over the 4 hours that would still be left for the gap in between. They rejected for the reason of “tight schedule” (of 6 hours!). The entire negotiation the respondent is quite passive aggressive. He first outright rejected a few times to even engage with me to find a solution. He eventually told me he’d ask the next guest when they would check in after many attempts of communication on my part, only to reply within a minute that the next guest would “check in early” so it was not possible. The very presence of effort is mocking. After I apologised again for not having read the check-out time and implied I wouldn’t have chosen this accommodation had I known, he proposed a resolution that I couldn’t accept (not before thanking him for his understanding and concessions first), he told me to just do it and they would “stop accept any issues”. When I explained again in detail why I can’t accept it (for the same reason I have to stay beyond 10am on the original check-out date), he just stopped communicating at all. Then after a long while gave me a shrug emoji At this point I just had to point out how I really don’t deserve this passive aggressiveness, that I’d be ok with their decision had they communicated with me better. Then, after a while suddenly I was told I could check out at 12 now. While I do greatly appreciate this offer of theirs, I just couldn’t help but notice that that means they could have said yes at the first place. Just that being polite and respectful got me only negative vibes from them. This is in terrible juxtaposition with my overall experience in over-a-month in Greece. To whoever is tasked with replying to bookings.com customers, pls remember mutual respect
