Great location for us & free car parking

Kept awake most of the night with a droning noise outside bedroom window. Rooms very very basic

Tired run down look over priced

Location, and the woman trying to manage it was attentive. However, the facility is run down, many things absent or don’t work, really miserable as the price point of 200 + pounds would indicate it was of reasonable quality.

Almost everything- dilapidated, tired, grubby, staff trying to get gear out of unused rooms to replace non working stuff, dodgy water temp, disgusting rooftop view of what must be non compliant wiring and equipment- photo attached. Even spare pillows had no pillowcases!

Good location for Windsor

A tired hotel where we had to provide our own hand soap. Woken up at 2am by faulty plumbing and you can hear everyone walking up the corridor.

Location was perfect, was aware that there was no bar/restaurant prior to our stay but there’s a costa in the village and a pub over the road, Windsor is just a shop drive away or a 20 minute walk.

The property was clean and tidy, it doesn’t have the bells and whistles of a more modern hotel and could do with a ‘glow up’, however it suited us as a base for our trip to Royal Ascot. The lady who showed us to our room (think she’s called Viv) was friendly and very helpful which added to the hotels charm.

The bed was particularly comfortable. The room and had a balcony and was quiet. It was near the few facilities that Datchet has.

We couldn’t use the hotel’s car park as it was full. We think a local business owner was using the car park. Alternatively parking was available close by, but we had to pay for it. Although the room and bathroom were generally clean, the carpets and rug were anything but clean.

Location, lovely village only a 5 minute drive into windsor. Very historic hotel, and rooms full of character and charm

Maintenance. Bath out of order. Air conditioning not working, shower was luke warm, cleaning could be better. Only 1 cup in room.

Wonderful old building. Staff very b friendly. Location perfect. Uber across to our event was so easy to organise. No food facilities in the hotel which could have been better reflected in the cost of the rooms but location brilliant as they're was a small selection of places to eat within a 2 minutes walk. We ate the best Indian food we'd ever had at Spices restaurant, had breakfast which was outstanding, at the 50/nine Lebanese place and then the acai club on a super Sunday morning breakfast tubs with fruit, sorbet granola and extras! The smoothies and chai flavours were so diverse. Loved all the gorgeous old buildings in Datchet and took a short stroll to the are where Kris cruises are located The people we chatted to everywhere were just so friendly and relaxed all around the village.

What i didn't like was the hotel standard. It really needs some TLC on the upkeep. There dies appear to be done work ongoing suggesting developments in the future. The noisy plumbing was concerning and the bath room cleanliness and all over standard of bedroom furniture could do with an upgrade. Nice black out curtains though and the four poster bed in my room was very comfortable.

Datchet is a good location for Windsor

Lack of parking, very tired and dirty in places. Towels were clean but ripped. Bath was out of order. Lacking in facilities.
