View from the sunroof exceptional, you will spend a lot of time in it, the sun can be overpowering when it comes out if in it though. Well equipped clean comfortable cottage. A bit isolated so take plenty of supplies. The heating and hot water are on timers, but you can press a boost button on the hall controls which gives you an hour of what you need. Very warm when the heating on. Good location to explore skye. Note it has bath in the hall bathroom but no plug to put in to take a bath, also the water pressure is very good so if getting a shower take it off its hook and turn on 1st to set otherwise it will go everywhere. Plenty of towels supplied. The bins are at the entrance bottom of the drive, you have to take any glass to the recycling station at the coop in Portree. Good communication from the vendor, the key safe is by the front door, the code will be sent prior to arrival.

Midges and the rain- not that the host can do much about either. Would have preferred an air frier than a microwave more versatile and quicker plus cheaper to run than an electric cooker, but just a personal preference.

The house is very attractively and comfortably furnished and the view is outstanding.

We had some issues wirh hot water but hosts responded fast Our only other issue was the rather dictatorial instructions around the house.

Off the beaten path with great water views but only 10 to 15 mins to get to Portree

This house was absolutely perfect for our family, particularly our 6-year-old and 1-year-old. They both loved the size of the property and it was great only being one level - very toddler-friendly! The views are stunning - the sky was incredible at night with no light pollution - and the location very central for visiting all that Skye has to offer.

No negatives - we had the perfect stay at the perfect property.

Most comfortable stay of our whole trip. Great out of the way location, quiet and peaceful. Good location for touring around the artist studios and for hikes around the north of Skye. Nice views of a loch. Cleanest stay of the whole trip.
