It was well located and very comfortable.

Nothing not to like really except that we needed a sharp cutting knife. Paola said she would supply it.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig und trotzdem nah am See, nah an Gastronomie und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Es gibt einen Aufzug, für die Reise mit meinen Eltern (über 80 Jahre alt) war das wirklich gut. Wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Paola ist sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Man erhält sehr schnell eine Rückmeldung. Wir kommen gerne wieder ☀️

Bardzo ładnie urządzone mieszkanie. Czysto i schludnie. Zdecydowanie spełniło moje oczekiwania. Pani gospodarz bardzo sympatyczna, dostosowała się do późnej godziny mojego prxyjazdu.

Jedyny mały minus, to jedna para kluczy, czasami był to problem.

Top Lage (zu Fuss in 3 Minuten an der Promenade am See), Grosszügige Wohnung, Bad sehr sauber, Küche gut ausgestattet, Preis / Leistung sehr gut

Building had an elevator, so did not have to carry heavy luggage up the stairs; Quiet.

Apartment is located in an office (not a residential) building a couple of blocks from the tourist area, and is on a block with some boarded up abandoned buildings. You have to use 3 separate keys to get in : 2 for 2 gates and the third for the apartment. Electrical wiring is faulty and insufficient: you can use either lights, or the windowless AC, or the microwave. If you try to use more than one of those at the same time, the circuit breaker trips and all electricity goes out. This happened to us several times each day. Pillows and mattresses were uncomfortable. For more than 2 guests to use the sofas in the living room for sleeping, you have to move them, since it is not possible to open them otherwise. Several things could be improved to make the stay much more pleasant and comfortable with minimal cost and effort: for example, many basic kitchen essentials are lacking (no cutting board, slicing knives, oven mitts, toaster, etc.) while others are simply broken or rusted and unusable. Bed and bath linens could be updated: they are of very poor quality, old, worn out and stained. There was 1 small roll of toilet paper, and the bath rug was wet when we arrived (seemed just rinsed and hung to dry, full of hair). It would have been better to get a second bath rug to put in the bathroom while the first one gets washed and dried between guests. When I asked for more usable bath towels, the owner replied “this is not a 5 star hotel”. I have never stayed in an apartment where so little care was taken to make the guests comfortable.

The good: - Our contact met us to hand over the keys and was responsive - The location is good The neutral: - Neighbourhood dog barking until 3 am multiple times - The "apartment" appears to be an ex-office or ex-store as it has large display windows into the interior of the building complex (which are badly covered up with a cheap curtain) - The rooms are never dark since the curtains and the shutters are not sufficient. If you have kids, they will wake up at 5 am and not fall asleep until it gets dark (after 10 pm) - The host left the windows open so that when we arrived, it was 30+°C in the room (with NO AC!!!) - No dishwasher and no AC (it does say so in the description, just a heads-up as without this your vacation will not be very enjoyable)

Unfortunately, there are many bad things to write about this property. Never in 10+ years of using booking.com have we complained. This was the worst property after having slept in 40+ over the past 10 years. There are a lot of other good places in Salo - my advice: do NOT stay here. The owner seems to not care at all. The bad: - two half-broken fans are the only source of cool air - the kitchen only had one blunt knife and one old pan - dark, long hair on the towels and mysterious stains at waist-level on the sheets / mattress - super uncomfortable mattresses and sofas - washing machine had black mold and is built in so badly that you cannot add detergent (pods only) - no dishwashing soap, no salt, no pepper -> absolutely NOTHING - two rolls of translucent toilet paper - 30+°C in the rooms at night; if the room has no AC, we expect it to be insulated somewhat so that the temperature is not the same as it is outside - extremely noisy since the "apartment" seems to be converted store or office and has very bad sound-isolation (enjoy hearing the late night arrivals speaking, shutting doors etc. in the building complex at all hours)
