Ruby's Den

The property had everything we needed for a home from home trip. We could easily cook our own meals, it was stocked with all the utensils you’d need there was even a freezer compartment stocked with ice. Nice big TV with good WiFi signal throughout the whole property. There were clever extras in the porch to make your stay more comfortable, ie an umbrella, wind break, dog bowls, torch etc. We had a welcome and farewell text from Michelle.

Michelle had provided everything even a little bathroom basket with spare toothbrushes and toiletries. Ruby's Den was so peaceful and a joy to stay there. I was made to feel most welcome by Michelle who is so lovely.

The accommodation provided a very satisfactory experience, with numerous positives contributing to a pleasant stay. Firstly, the check-in process was notably easy, complemented by a spacious area that enhanced the overall comfort. The kitchen was well-equipped, catering to all culinary needs. The property offered good parking on the driveway. For those travelling with pets, it is important to note that the establishment permits the presence of one dog, a policy that was suitably communicated. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with delightful touches including Prosecco and biscuits. The location of the property was exceptionally well-situated; it was just a few minutes' walk into Carbis Bay, a brief 5-minute drive into Saint Ives, 15 minutes to St Michael's Mount, and a 25-minute journey to Lands End. The host was lovely, ensuring to check in on us mid-way through our stay to confirm everything was satisfactory. Moreover, the front garden was well-maintained, sealed, and gated, which provided safety for dogs. Overall, these aspects collectively ensured a memorable and comfortable stay.

There were a few negatives that impacted our experience. The most notable issue was the intermittent and weak WiFi, which failed to reach all the rooms, including the bedroom. This proved particularly problematic during rainy evenings when indoor entertainment was limited. Furthermore, the television provided was quite basic and had temperamental functionality, which further restricted our entertainment options. Additionally, the comfort level of the bed was slightly subpar, detracting from the overall comfort of our stay. Another significant inconvenience was the lack of mobile phone signal in the area, which greatly limited the use of phone calls. These aspects, unfortunately, detracted from the otherwise enjoyable experience.

A perfect stay, rubys den was lovely and cosy with everything you could possibly need. It was spotlessly clean and I loved that the hosts left lots of complimentary bits for New Year’s Eve it was so thoughtful. The location is absolutely brilliant and exactly what we were looking for, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come again!
