Urban Monkey Tent hostel & bar

Great space and facilities for digital nomads. Busy and bustling throughout the day and into the evening. Table tennis and other games in bar areas. Funnily enough, the futon in the tent was the most comfortable bed we had had in weeks! Would return again if we ever wanted a cheap stay in Karakol.

Although we fully expected and were happy to stay in a tent in a room with other campers, the 'room' option names should probably be slightly changed to not imply there are any 'rooms' as such. It shouldn't be the case that the staff members warn you on arrival that just because you booked 'a room', you'll be sharing it with 10+ others. Just a note for other travellers - it was not a problem for us whatsoever.

Erg fijn hostel, waar je ook makkelijk aanspraak hebt. Keukentje is fijn. Vriendelijk personeel, welke je ook kan helpen met tours en treks. We mochten onze backpacks 2 nachten achterlaten terwijl we een trek deden. De kamer was ruim. Badkamers zijn schoon en gescheiden, wat ik als vrouw fijn vind. Locatie dichtbij het busstation.

Hostel ligt relatief ver weg van het centrum. De douches hebben geen haakje om je kleding in de cabine op te hangen, dus je moet eigenlijk gaan als niemand in de badkamer is, want het is moeilijk om je spullen te pakken zonder uit de cabine te gaan. Ook tussen de twee douchecabines zit wel een scheiding, maar hier kan je gedeeltelijk doorheen kijken, dus je kan iemand anders gewoon zien. Het zijn kleine dingen, maar wel handig om aan te passen.

Unexpectedly exquisite. For the price, the overall value is exceptional. From the outside it looks like a regular semi-industrial building, however, once inside, there is a bar, a large kitchen/common area and ample space for cars and tents. You can in-fact stay in a tent for 200som per night or there are private rooms, a very cosy upstairs dormitory or the indoor tent space. They also rent hiking equipment should you wish. Beers were 150som and so was laundry. Everything is geared towards backpackers and the cleanliness is excellent. Would recommend 110%.

床位舒适，热水舒服，提供厨房使用很方便，公共区域方便。

地理位置不在中心，邻主街比较吵，灰大。

J'ai tout aimé : la gentillesse des hôtes, la praticité des aménagements et des équipements, la proximité des transports et tous les bons conseils qui sont délivrés. Probablement la meilleure auberge de jeunesse où j'ai séjourné !! Merci encore pour tout, je me suis sentie comme à la maison🙏☺️
