The Ohia at The Koi House

Very quiet surroundings, lovely pool area and such a beautiful apartment! Loved the coffee and the record player! Communication was great!

During the day it was maybe a little bit warm in the apartment but the dehumidifier helped a lot!

A very relaxing place to escape the daily grind!

It's a bit away from the beaches but the pool makes up for that!

Very large living area with a comfortable small bedroom attached to it. This place is great if you are staying for a long period. It has a nice kitchen area which can be utilized, beach equipment for your use is right outside. The bathroom is very well equipped. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

It was disappointing for us to find some kitchen articles not cleaned by the previous visitors. Our biggest issue was privacy. Since it is on the pool side level, other guests walk by and if they use the pool they are in front of the unit. If you are a private person and care for privacy, perhaps try the other rooms.

It was beautifully decorated and well appointed. The managers were lovely. It was a bit of an oasis after a big day of looking around the sites of Kona. The pool was beautiful and the bed really comfortable. There were a lot of little extras like lotion and Boogie boards provided.

The Koi House is a large home that utilises any spare space to accommodate fee paying guests. This includes spare rooms, under the house and even two tents in the back yard. The suite under the house did not offer the privacy or atmosphere I would expect for the price I paid. Other guests using the pool or making their way to the tents could easily look inside and you could clearly hear people walking and talking upstairs. I really enjoyed my stay here, but I did not think staying in a converted room under someone's house was worth the amount charged.

There was a bit of construction going on around the pool which made the outside area a bit messy. And the WiFi was slow.

Absolutely stunning residence with a few studios. We had the one next to the pool, and it was big, functional, comfortable and full of everything you might need. There even was some toothpaste tablets and aloe Vera gel, coffee grains and a grinder, and gear to borrow. Loved the space, the decor and especially the shower. The queen bed and bedding were very comfy. The outdoor space was also lovely. Great location a little outside of the center, but with great access to main roads and activities. Loved the place and highly recommend it.

It didn’t bother us that much, but because you are on the ground level, there are other guests above you. The kids were running around and we could hear them - fine for us, but note it can be a bit noisy.

Decoration is stylish and cozy. You can feel the host put her heart into it and make you feel right at home.

There is a little confusion at the beginning and the host takes me to a different room. But it got sorted out quickly. It’s a bit hard to spot the red surf board for direction when it’s dark if checking in late in the evening. All minor things…nothing major. Still quite satisfied with my stay.
