Casa Serene Tagaytay (Pool, Deluxe, Relaxing Stay)

Loved the location as it was near the wedding venue we needed to be at. Some things to note before booking though: I will not recommend if you have small kids as the stairs have no railing. If you are looking for an aesthetic and comfortable place to stay this will be perfect. Communication was okay and we made a couple of requests that were approved by the owner ( I had make up artists come over to help us prep and we asked if that was okay, the owner gave us an okay ). However, during our first night there was water interruption which was not communicated to us so I had to reach out and confirm why we were not advised. The owner mentioned they were not aware of it and we were told that they will check. We were then advised that we might have the same interruption for our second night so we were given jugs to store water in. It was not the entire day just the night time. Pool is extremely cold and it was super windy. We tried to swim but it was super cold. They do tell you that the pool is not heated but it was ice cold. Because its windy you have to very careful when leaving the doors open or when you are trying to close it as it makes a loud banging noise. Suggestion would be to add a good door stopper so guests would not have to worry about the doors being left open for a bit. The lady that did the walk through when we arrived gave a list of things to check (dos and donts) and that part was okay. I just find that she was coming off a bit rude when explaining things of what not to do in the property. Ex. My dad was putting our stuff in the house and left the door open for a bit because he was still grabbing some things. The wind blew the door closed (this was before the lady explained that we need to be very careful about the doors). Her reaction to the sudden banging noise of the door caught us off guard and she gave us a look that put me off. She then gave us a heads up about being careful with the doors as it can damage the door frames.

Nothing much, really, except that the location was near Mahogany Market, which was our primary point of interest.

The bathroom sink upstairs was clogged, the wooden staircase was creaky and didn't offer much safety -- you create an eerie sound regardless of how carefully you walk, and you could fall down if you make a wrong step. There was no railing or glass on the other side to ensure safety.

The property is very aesthetic and has bathrooms for each room. The ambiance is great and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the karaoke.

I wish the jacuzzi is more warm or hot. Need to be careful on the edge of the steps in the pool as it is kinda sharp.
