Waimahana - Luxury By The Lake

Waimahana was a wonderful and comfortable stay, particularly the bed. We were there to attend my daughter's football tournament week. It was located close to Crown Park, which was very convenient. We loved our time there and even extended for one more night. Our host was excellent and accommodating, even when we requested a late check-out. She was most accommodating, which was appreciated, given that I had recently undergone surgery and rushing to check out was a bit challenging for me at the time. Thank you, so, so much for a fantastic stay. We will definitely be back again!

No where to put suitcases. Although the linen was lovely the bed was uncomfortable. No milk capsules were supplied so we had to go and buy milk. Overall we didn’t like the position of room 7 and the view of the lake was through a very small window. We would not stay in this particular apartment again.

Well located near the lake and the lakeside walk. A little out of town which added to the peace and quiet. Whilst we didn’t use it, there is also a heated pool and spa which seemed popular despite the cold temps.

Our only fault was the bed. It was luxurious but very springy- each time one of us turned over during the night it was like the old waterbed experience despite it being comfortable. If looking for lake views, this apartment will disappoint as at best there is a glimpse from a side window. However, with the lake so close it just encouraged us to get out and walk.

Great location, just a short walk to the lake. Very comfortable and luxurious. Loved the keypad entry!

The hob was a little small to cook a meal on using two pans e.g. cooking pasta and sautéing some veg for the sauce. The little window needs a blackout blind as this was quite bright through the night despite the current blind. Small things though!
