Oceans Edge 23 Zimbali Estate

Zimbali is lovely once inside but a mission to get into the estate. Clean house and good location.

I’ve been all over South Africa and never experienced such strict security access controls. Every entry and exit requires each persons ID check, booking form display and drivers license inspection. We understand potentially on entry but doing this multiple times per day with a family is extremely difficult. It made the stay unpractical and disappointing. Understand it is Zimbali’s requirements but impacts the overall stay.

It’s absolutely beautiful

Abit too strict on noise even during the day.

Liked the location and the facilities in the estate.

Didn't like the long steps in the house.

The cleanliness n the minimalism

Everything was perfect

That it was in a secure estate & spacious living space.

The kitchen was not well equipped. No braai tongs , chipped plates & glasses , no oven gloves , the cutlery was not great & these are examples of what was lacking . The braai was very difficult to ignite & needed a service ! Owners vehicle parked in garage & builders rubble outside on the opposite parking.

Prime location.Beautiful views from most rooms.Spacious house,well decorated.Beautiful clean pool. Good value for money.Daily housekeeping. Beautiful garden.adequate privacy. Host(via euphoria) extremely helpful - sorted out every problem we raised quickly and ensured our comfort. Facilities amazing - could complete whole stay without leaving the estate(pools,beach access,safe to walk/run,beautiful restaurants)

Small things that could elevate the experience -no handwashing soap in the toilets -sugar sachets not replaced during week long stay. -empty salt canister,firelighter(gas stove) finished -no milk jug/gravy jug -no pool cover(if you’re bringing small kids,note this.).however sliding door quite heavy so if you keep it closed,kids unlikely to open it. These are just small things,would still book place again despite these.
