Villa Borgo - Chia

Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich. Es hat genug Platz. Zwei Pools. Parkplatz stand zur Verfügung. Waschmaschine und Trockner waren vorhanden.

In einem der beiden Bäder hatte es an der Holzdecke ganz viele Ameisen. Auf diverse Anfragen per Nachricht wurde nicht eingegangen. Und beim Check-in und Check-out war die Rezeption beim Hotel nicht belegt, mussten deshalb etwas länger warten.

Beautiful villa, stunning pool. Other guests have mentioned the small 2/3 beds but they were honestly perfect, one room had bunks which the kids loved. Gardens are gorgeous - absolutely beautiful. It’s tranquil and relaxing. The host Andre was very welcoming and kind. I wish I’d taken his mobile for WhatsApp (he did offer) as the other staff didn’t respond to my email, booking.com messages or answer the Reception phone). Location is superb, you can walk to the most magnificent beach of sand dunes in minutes. You do NEED A CAR to really enjoy this place. There is a small supermarket close by but if you are stranded, there is nowhere to walk to for (proper) food and so you’ll be cooking every day!

A few niggles, and because we couldn’t contact anyone it was frustrating. Super Illy coffee machine, but they had supplied the wrong capsules. No mosquito screens over the doors / windows so we couldn’t leave windows open for fresh air and had to use air con. No air con in little bedrooms (so needed an open window!) Kitchen which is really quite nice, needs a quick check through to see what would be helpful (a small colander to drain pasta, some bowls, sort out the dishwasher drawer…) Pool is quite cold, but this did not deter the kids.

2 bedrooms are really very small. During a havy rain water comes through a celling. In a high season when there is no rain, it is not important.
