Snug-as-a-Bug Sleep House

Location was great, close to town and perfect for what I needed. The bed was so comfortable and the unit was super cute as a whole. Being able to park was awesome, and was nice and close to the unit.

I don’t think there was anything. I only wish I had stayed for longer!

A quiet, comfortable, very compact unit up in the hills to the northwest of Dunedin. The sweeping Dunedin roads provide easy access to the city centre, which is about a 10-minute drive most of the time. The host was very welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed staying here for several days. There are limited cooking facilities and the host sorts out dishwashing every day; this took a bit of getting used to but in fact worked very well. The room is cosy in cooler weather, and easily cooled when it gets warm. The bathroom is good and has an excellent shower unit. The WiFi signal is very good.

The glass shelf over the small bathroom basin gets in the way when brushing teeth. (We'd have been happy not to have the shelf at all since there is plenty of space on the shelf-tower to one side of the basin.)

Very lovely place to stay, everything was very clean and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size! Parking was easy and the place was easy to find.

The bathroom sink is quite small so it is tricky to wash up anything you’ve used!

We liked the location with parking right next to the guest house. It was lovely and warm with heater provided. Towels, shampoo and toiletries were available but brought our own. Host was very nice and helpful. It was peaceful and quiet, no student parties etc. We asked for an extra bed, but very disappointed when we realised it was a fold up camp bed, not suitable for an adult. No sink to wash up dishes and the bathroom sink was the size of a shoe box and had a shelf right above it so very difficult indeed to wash teeth. Good shower!

Not enough cutlery, no glasses, limited plates, cups etc, so it was very difficult as no sink to wash up. Provided 4 glass water bottles which was just as well as there was nowhere to fill the kettle. Should label identical sugar and salt containers as I made a coffee and threw up in the toilet as it was salt. Relieved we brought our own. Please check if there is a big squashed spider above the door inside the guest house as it was there when we arrived! Also rubbish bin was full from previous guests.

We had an amazing stay at this home. The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts went above and beyond by providing extra snacks and great coffee, which made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again!

Clean with parking onsite. Full size fridge . Well located for our needs and decent price .

Strange cooking setup with lots of rules of what not to cook. No milk.Only running water is small washbasin in bathroom - too small to get anything under taps or wash face as shelf above is in the way. Not well insulated- cold air whistling through plug sockets . Small with 2 beds - would only want you stay 1 night .
