Beautiful cosy cottage, everything we needed, love that it is dog friendly

Nothing it’s just perfect

View from the property was lovely.

Arrived to an unheated property, which has night storage heaters, which had not been turned on, with no wood or kindling for the wood burner which it stated there would be. Unacceptable for the middle of winter. The fridge had mould on it and the property had not been cleaned well. As an older property it suffered from damp and had a dehumidifier to manage this, but this was on the worktop next to the sink and took up lots of space. The furnishings were dated, and the kitchen and bathroom both old and and tired. I would not recommend this property and complained to the management company.

Great location in a beautiful village. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed.

The bed could have been more comfortable

In beautiful village of Dittisham...fantastic location on the river Dart....peaceful and perfect for exploring surrounding area and attractions. Cottage was simply furnished but with tasteful touches and details.....all our needs had been thought of and catered for. Being a small village we thought that parking might be an issue but actually we had no problem parking very close to the property. Would definitely look to stay here again.

Was absolutely happy with everything.

This is a self-catering cottage, so no breakfast. Did not meet the host or even know who the host is. The cottage is cosy, nicely furnished and carpeted, reasonably equipped. Beds more comfortable than most holiday cottages. Fantastic view over the creek from the front windows. Dittisham is a very pretty village.

The property description states no parking on the property, but I was told there was on street parking, which is true, but it is not outside the property. The spaces opposite the property are apparently residents only, so the car had to be parked away from the cottage on street, or in a paying car park which is a bit of a walk. The turning space, for all vehicles not able to make the difficult turn in the centre of the village, is right opposite the cottage and is the only place to park to unload and load the car on arrival and leaving. The stairs are exceptionally steep, which is not mentioned in the property description, and the bathroom door opens straight onto the stairs which makes access awkward. Definitely not suitable for anyone with physical disabilities or the not very fit elderly. Would be difficult carrying a baby or toddler.
