2 BR Royal Mile Apartment

It was confirmed that room would be available @ 4:00, but just as we were opening door the cleaner turned up & asked if we could come back in 20mins, we were tired & said ‘no’ so sat in lounge till she finished, a man turned up to help her finish. Disappointed that the host didn’t offer a later checkout the next day. Also, even though there were many items in the kitchen that we didn’t need for overnight stay it would’ve been nice to have some milk for tea!

The location was perfect in the Old Town. The host was very accommodating and helpful. Everything in the property was spotless and perfect- even down to the welcome note with friendship bracelets for the Taylor Swift concert - great personal touch and much appreciated.

Great location and comfortable beds. Just wish we could have stayed a couple more nights.

The only small thing I can even think of is the shower head popping out when you turn the water off. That was a fun test of your reflexes first thing in the morning.

Location was perfect. Less than a block from the Royal Mile. Easy walk to everything. In spite of proximity to everything, still managed to feel quiet and private.

Bathroom and kitchen were a bit cramped, but I’ve come to accept this as the norm for the UK when coming from America.

Excellent location for our needs

Needs new mattresses. Didn’t care for ground level open windows. One bathroom.

Host was friendly and helpful, providing additional tips for nearby restaurants and attractions. Location is about 10 -15 mins from Airport link bus stop. Visitors with luggages should try to look for escalators or lifts up/down Waverly Station and it will be easier than the suggested route from GPS.

The toilet though newly renovated is dangerous. The shower requires one to stand in the bath tub but the tub has a curved base with no anti slip properties or mat. Making every shower an extremely slippery adventure. There are no grab poles and you can't shower outside the tub due to vinyl flooring. It will be good if clearer instructions were given for the numerous keys [3 altogether] as much time was spent fumbling through the various locks and keys in the rain.

Fantastic location walking distance to train station. Easy contact less entry. Great communication and quick responses from owner/manager

A.little pricy and more than we wanted to spend but availability at that time didn't give us many options. However, I guess you're paying for the location. We could only stay 1 night, so with the cleaning fee made the nightly rate a little high for us. Two or more nights would make the daily rate more affordable. Loved it all the same! .

The apartment is perfectly located. All main attractions and the train station are in walking distance. Everything was clean and cosy and the host was very attentive. I can highly recommend staying there if you want to spend time in Edinburgh.
