The access passageway to the key boxes was dirty and we had to walk through slushy pigeon poop (lots of it) to get the keys.

GBAnchor Reach had Beautiful decor. Fully equipped. Brilliant location. Comfy beds -aesthetically very pleasing.
Cleanliness of entry hall was poor-feathers and dirt up stairs and in hallway. The info on the site does not highlight the stairs to get to the apartment and within the apartment which in total is 50 odd stairs to get to the bedrooms. In one bedroom there was no mirror at all. In the other there was nowhere to hang any clothing. Although two bathrooms, only one had shower so they could not be used independently by two sharing couples. No hooks or airers to hang towels. Beautiful looking apartment but lacked a few practical items.
GBLovely place to stay, clean, beautifully furnished and good central location. There’s a few things I’d have liked to have known before my visit. 1. It’s on a high street surrounded by bars, cafes and shops and very noisy until the early hours of the morning. Then the draymen start rolling the barrels about 6am. 2. It’s very warm in the bedrooms and the windows don’t open. 3. You can park at the pay and display which are near but they are expensive- £24 a day! 4. There is a mandatory damage fee which we were told about 7-10 days before the stay.
GBGBApartment is in a great location right in the centre of Whitby. It is nicely furnished and the beds are comfy. Good price for the location.
Apartment wasnt clean. It smelt of musty cigarettes when we first went in. It clearly hadn't been dusted recently, the tops of furniture and floors were dusty, socks were covered in dust and bits when walking round apartment. The toilet makes a loud deep grinding noise whenever it is flushed (not ideal for night time loo trips) No wardrobe, hangers, or anywhere to hang clothes. Tray in oven was covered in used oil, hadn't been cleaned since previous use. No kitchen roll, and nothing provided to do dishes (other than dishwasher) or to wipe surfaces with (no sponges or cloths) which is no use if just want to clean previous guests lipstick off glasses! No bedside lamps provided in the twin room, just the main ceiling light. Such a shame as these are such easy fixes and are the basics required for a decent stay. Saying this, we would stay here again if we knew it had been cleaned properly and with a few tweaks, as it is a very good location and has great potential.

The entrance let’s the property down, lots of post on the floor. The apartment was clean apart from the floors which had a lot of dust gathered under the furniture and behind the doors.
