The Eight Villa & Rooms Bali - Seminyak

Impeccably clean hotel, such attentive and professional staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. The location is great as it’s only a 5-10 minute walk outside of the hustle and bustle of the lively street of Jalan Kayu Aya. You can order food in from the hotel and the hotel can organise their in house laundry service which was ideal. Mini bar in room and drinks fridge at reception, so you’re never far from a Bintang or soft drink while lounging around the wonderfully clean pool. The staff are always doing something. They never stop working to make your experience a great one! Reputable money changer and supermarket right outside the front of the hotel which is super convenient. The street outside is now a one-way only, which makes it a lot quieter than it would have been previously. Close to one of my favourite places for breakfast - The Corner House Cafe which is run by a French/Australian duo, where the coffee is excellent, the food is fresh and the service is outstanding. The offer free ice cream/pastries/cakes & cookies when ordering food/coffee there. They also give you free drinks vouchers to entice you back again next time. I would definitely stay here again. The team here are excellent and the hotel feels safe and clean.

The only thing I would note is that for a hotel with this many rooms, they really could do with a couple of extra sun loungers on the grassed area behind the pool as there’s only 2 loungers for maybe 12 rooms. Due to the size of the small walkway around the pool area, I understand that you can’t have a sun lounger for every guest, but two more on the grassed area would be ideal for those who like to read etc. It didn’t really bother my friend and I, as we’re were mainly the only two guests to sunbathe over the week we were there, but other people just lay a towel down around the pool and lay on that in the sun, which they didn’t seem to mind doing. One thing to note is that rooms 6/7, which are the last two on the left next to the pool, have no outdoor table and chairs to relax on, unlike every other room at the hotel. This is because they are right next to the pool/outdoor shower and really can’t fit it outside the room. So if you’re wanting a table and chairs to relax on outside your room to drink your coffee on in the morning, ask for a room other than 6/7. Didn’t worry me, as I was able to relax on the two available sun loungers, but if the sun loungers are taken, you’ll have to sit at reception on the tables there or on the step of room 6.

The rooms are quite large, come stocked with mini fridge and also additional onsite amenities are great, which include room service, room massage service as well as airport pick up and transfer for an additional charge.

You have to pay for the amenities in cash. During our stay, we were told that the credit card machine was broken however, it was broken for the entire duration of our stay. It made paying for additional amenities we purchased difficult. If the credit card machine isn’t working bank transfer should be a readily available option for payment.

Personal super atento, todo muy limpio y funcional. La ubicación regular porque nada mas salir del callejón hay mucho trafico, no hay casi aceras en condiciones pero hay un buen supermercado cerca.
