Du Già Family Homestay & Coffe

Although confirmed through Booking.com, we attempted to contact the accommodation several times before staying. No answer and no opportunity to leave voice mail message. Our Vietnamese Guide tried several times over several days. No answer and no opportunity to leave voice mail message. We arrived at the accommodation on the correct day to find they were not expecting us and the rooms was not ready. Thank goodness we had our Vietnamese Guide with us as he arranged alternative accommodation for us. The day after our supposed booking we received correspondence from the accommodation saying their phone was broken. (This does not explain their failure to have our room ready).

Very bad communication; they were not ready for us and we did not stay there. It was difficult to find, accessed via a muddy driveway.

Location was beautiful.

We booked 2 rooms off their website. Their smarter rooms. For a week leading up to our booking they didn't answer any of our emails or booking.com messages. Host said his phone was broken. When we arrived, we got shifted across from the main house with pool etc that was what was advertised, to an incomplete looking house with tiny bedrooms. It had bats flying around the communal area. The pool was broken, green and pit for mosquitos. Initially the room had no blankets or hot water and the washing machine didn't work. The plumbing from the bathroom sink wasn't connected to an outlet so the water ran out all over the bathroom floor. It was horrific. The host tried to cover his errors, but bottom line is that they got a bug booking from a tour group and forgot about us. We still got charged for our original rooms, with a "discount" to the value of the same as a can of coke. The "dinner" was also not up to standard and we got charged 150000 dong per person. The tour groups meals were much better. We also weren't allowed to sit in the main area and had to eat outside at a table with mosquitos. We were beyong disappointed. He said that it was because our original room was water damaged but we had booked months in advance. The tour group booked after us. I will attach pictures of our "room" so you can compare to the website and what we had booked. As I said the host tried to cover up the mistakes by being friendly, but it was by far our worst accommodation on our Vietnam trip and it was not cheap compared to our other accommodation.

The young guy in charge was nice and helped us move the next day as it was so noisy.

I've never stayed in such a noisy place, like boom boom boom from early evening to 10:30, maybe later. I had to take a large sleeping pill to get some shuteye. If you like sleeping under an amplifier going boom boom boom, then go for it. They don't have drip coffee either, just 3-in-1.

The stay is on such a lovely piece of Vietnamese country side with a local family. They are beyond welcoming and the home cooked meal they made us for dinner was incredible & we loved sharing it with their extended family. You get a true experience here, so whilst the rooms are fitted out with only the essentials - the rest is above and beyond

Could potentially be a bit loud with ha giang loop tour groups on neighbouring properties - but they were conscious of that and make every effort that you aren't disturbed!

Close to town, comfy beds, hot showers, lovely hospitality.

Staying at this homestay was absolutely incredible. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, it offers breathtaking views that make you feel completely immersed in nature. What makes this place truly special is that it is 100% family-run, providing a truly authentic experience. I had the chance to connect with local Vietnamese life in a way that felt genuine and welcoming. Even more amazingly, during Tet (Lunar New Year), I was invited to meet the extended family. There were so many of them, all warm and happy to share this special moment with me. If you're looking for an authentic and immersive experience in Ha Giang, this homestay is the perfect place. Beautiful location and very kind hosts.

Beautiful views, pancakes for breakfast... Friendly staff.

No window in the room. They are accepting big groups which do the Ha Giang loop, so it is very loud in the evening. We were also lucky and had neighbours who enjoyed themselves until 3am, so almost no sleep for us. The house is nit soundproof, wo you can hear everything. If you don't want to party, I would recommend to stay somewhere else. We were really disappointed.

Sooo kind people, beautiful peaceful view, tasty dinner cooked by host, one of the most memorable booking experiences I have a ever had. Big recommend!!

We were go to my partner and we loved the landscape in front of our room. The house people are very nice and friendly! We rested very good. Quality-price is very good! We recomend it!
