La Casa de Joel

We had a wonderful stay at La Casa de Joel. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable throughout our time there. The room has a fridge and some basic dishes, so you can easily prepare your own breakfast. It is cleaned daily, which we really appreciated. You can also borrow simple bikes for free, which is perfect for exploring the island. Additionally, you can book the Los Túneles tour at a discounted rate. The host is extremely friendly and very attentive. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back anytime!

We loved everything about our stay. One small downside was the internet, which was sometimes better, sometimes worse — but that's completely normal on Isla Isabela. It's best to come prepared for limited internet access while on the island.**

Great value for money, lovely attentive staff, good sized bathroom, fantastic location, free use of bikes and snorkelling equipment which was amazing. Air conditioned room and cleaned.

Casa de Joel superó nuestras expectativas. El espacio era cómodo, amplio y Joel se preocupó de estar atento a ofrecernos lo necesario para que nuestra estancia en Isabela fuera inolvidable. Ubicación excelente. Dormitorio cómodo, amplio y limpio. Personal acogedor y preocupado. De todas maneras si tenemos oportunidad de volver a Galápagos nos hospedaríamos nuevamente en su casa. Muy agradecida.

Awesome spot! We were welcomed by a friendly smile and our room was great! Bed was comfortable, hot water was perfect, and the inclusion of a small fridge and kettle were very helpful with saving a bit of money on breakfasts. Location is great - easy walk to the docks and close by to Concha for snorkelling. They offer all the most popular Isabela tours, and the prices they quoted us were much better than what we’d already pre-paid on Santa Cruz. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Joel is a great host, very welcoming and friendly. He is always available whatever you need!! Highly recommended if you’re staying on the island.

The host was very kind and gave us bikes and snorkels to borrow for free. He also gave us good tips about where to cheap and delicious food. He made our trip to isabela island perfect.

Nice location. Very walkable area. Lots of restaurants nearby. Was great hanging out at the end of the day having beers outside at the picnic table. They lend you bikes for free (which was great to visit the Wall of Tears), although he does ask for a tip to use them (but the amount is at your discretion). Free drinking water. They clean the room every day. Very nice owner. Arranged for a taxi to take us to the ferry early in the morning. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Nothing. Everything was great (although I wish they had a microwave to reheat food).

Awesome location and host. Property had every amenity we needed and more - from a mini fridge to hangers for our wet clothes. Can’t recommend this place enough!
