Lovely Shared 3 Bed Home Near The Thames

The location was nice, right next to Thamesmead

We visited in the middle of january, so it was very cold outside and we were expecting a warm place to stay overnight for 3 nights, that's all we needed. We did not have any heat in the house, the thermostat was set on 5 degrees. The room we received was very small, only the bed, a chair, and a small wardrobe fit inside, almost no room to actually stay inside but we did not complain about it, i did not check the size of the rooms before hand. When i asked about the heating inside the room, we were given a small electric heater, that you plug in and gives as much heating as a hair dryer. I thought maybe its optional until the house gets warm, maybe no other guests arrived to the house, so that is why it was still cold. The bathroom was dirty, but the kind of dirty it is when is used over a long period of time and not properly cleaned: the rugs looked stained, the air was very musty, dust all over the place and a lot of water/other substances stains over the mirror, sink and shower. When we arrived back to the house later that night, it was still very cold inside, and we did not have hot water at all. 2/3 nights we showered with cold water and slept in that cold house in the middle of january. I wrote to the owner many times, but i either did not receive an answer or received one very late when we were not at the house. On the last day, they mentioned something that we needed to turn on the heater inside the house, information which was not mentioned to us when we asked about the heating and we had hot water only the last night, the house was still cold though. I went with the other reviews and thought that this was good housing, but my experience was not a nice one. The house looks like the pictures but is not in the condition shown in the pictures at all. Im sorry for the host. Maybe they were having a rough time, but this was just a bad experience

Everything. Location, staff, furniture. The place is run efficiently with such a responsive and kind host. The scenery is epic and neighborhood safe.

Maybe more towel availability/clean towels. Perhaps that is the only thing I could suggest really. Maybe just toilet spray as well, in bathrooms.

The property was clean and in a calm neighbourhood.

Every day the heater was turned off and when we were coming back from a long day the room was cold, so we had to manually switch on the central heating and wait for the place to get warm. The holder for the shower and one of the toilets were broken.

The staffs are very excellent in their services and also very help, they made our stay there easy

I dont like the fact that we have to go all the way upstairs to use the bathroom and toilet most especially in the night, if anything can be done about this will be great improvement
