Cosy 2BD Cottage in Oxfordshire - Near Daylesford!

Le congélateur à dégeler par nous même, la machine à laver ne fonctionne pas, l’écoulement de la douche est problématique. Malheureusement nous n’avons eu aucune aide. Sans compter les services payants en supplément pour s’enregistrer (truvi) non annoncés au départ !!

Great village location close to some quality eating place and countryside walks . Not a huge 2 bedroom property , cosy was a good description.

Unfortuanate that the bathroom , shower room was on the ground floor. Only comfortable space for 3 to sit, an additional arm chair would heave been welcome but appreciate this could be difficult because of the lack of space.

Facilities and location were great.

Issues with shower not retaining temperature and going on and off.

Clean, well-appointed and very cozy cottage. The immediate surroundings are also extremely charming, and there are two excellent restaurants a few minutes away (wild rabbit, plough). Good base to explore the Cotswolds. Bring your own food supplies for self catering as there are no shops to speak of (or shop at Daylesford which is a short drive away). Household supplies are provided already so no need to bring (washing up liquid, sponge etc). There are plenty of radiators to keep warm including an electric stove which is very powerful. The kitchen has an electric kettle and a dishwasher, as well as a coffee press (which wasn’t clear from the description). There’s also a patio area with a barbecue.

A couple of very minor niggles: - top floor bedroom has no door - no issue for us as a family but I can see how this might be an issue for others maybe; that bedroom as the bigger bed so is better as a parental bedroom (the bed in the other room is tight) - three items would be helpful in kitchen: a sieve, a water jug and ideally also a scale - radiator in bathroom: not an issue in May, but I could see that it wasn’t very strong which may be why others complained.

Whilst small, the setting is great and the courtyard garden is a lovely and quiet spot to enjoy breakfast. We needed assistance from a neighbour at Cider Press cottage and they were very friendly and helpful.

We struggled to find the cottage even with local help.

Shower didn't drain very well.

Location in the village was excellent. Parking was easy, the property was exceptionally clean. The host left detailed instructions and was responsive to messages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this warm and cosy cottage.

Unfortunately the boiler broke during our stay, I was given the number for emergency response which was answered efficiently. Although there was not enough time to get an engineer out during our stay, I was impressed at how the host reacted by offering a partial refund for the inconvenience. Accidents happen.
