Apple Cottage: 19th Century Charm in Calder Valley

Extremely clean everything you needed for your stay. The wood burner was a great addition also the outside space was an added bonus.

Unfortunately double bed wasn’t that comfortable. Door wouldn’t shut properly on solid fuel stove.

Apple cottage exceeded all expectations and was absolutely lovely. We found the cottage to be spotless & very well appointed with everything you could need for the perfect little getaway. The decor is stylish with a cosy homely feel. We loved the garden and made the most of the late summer sun and dined alfresco whilst enjoying the peace & quiet. The Prosecco left by the host was a very welcome surprise as were the biscuits & toiletries which we thoroughly appreciated. Apple cottage would be the perfect place to escape to during the autumn/winter months and get cosy by the fireside with a good book (there are plenty to choose from in the cottage) or to enjoy a glass of wine. We would highly recommend.

The location for us personally wasn’t that convenient although we did our home work before our stay and booked an Ocado delivery so we had plenty of essentials. You need to treat the cottage as a base and drive to local towns such as Hebden Bridge & the beautiful Haworth. It’s not a criticism and wouldn’t put us off staying at the cottage again.

Can’t fault anything had a lovely trip and everything was presented beautifully! Also the neighbours was very welcoming and I had a brilliant solo getaway!
